Miami-Dade vs Jacksonville

A death in Miami-Dade from 2009 to the present can be copied at county health. Older deaths, and cheaper extras, go to the Bureau of Vital Statistics in Jacksonville.

Florida county health departments issue deaths from 2009 to the present. They set their own fees. The Bureau of Vital Statistics in Jacksonville issues statewide copies, including years the county will not touch. Those are different counters and different prices.
